Teal and Hot Pink

Hi Girls,
I want to share with you a makeover that I made couple of months ago. I was re-decorating my daughter's room and I used a little desk that I had and renew it for her room. Obviously my scheme color is totally different to her, LOL,  so I grab my paints, the desk and a Ethan Allen chair and started this project. Both pieces are Goodwill finds which means less than $25, not bad for a complete set.

First, I sanded down both pieces and the wood was in perfect condition. Cleaned well to remove any particle, painted and sanded again to give a distressed look. Then stained  using  Minwax, one of my favorites. These are the pictures of both pieces,  before and after.
After pictures,

Before pic's... Sorry I forgot to take picture of the chair. It was light maple color.

See you soon and have a blessed day,
Eve

  2. Congratulations on your first post !
Wood and paint definately do go together, and I love the colours you have used for your first project.
You should really party at Debbiedoos too, as she has a great newbie party on Mondays. There is a button on my side bar.
