Teal and Hot Pink

Hi Girls,
I want to share with you a makeover that I made couple of months ago. I was re-decorating my daughter's room and I used a little desk that I had and renew it for her room. Obviously my scheme color is totally different to her, LOL,  so I grab my paints, the desk and a Ethan Allen chair and started this project. Both pieces are Goodwill finds which means less than $25, not bad for a complete set.

First, I sanded down both pieces and the wood was in perfect condition. Cleaned well to remove any particle, painted and sanded again to give a distressed look. Then stained  using  Minwax, one of my favorites. These are the pictures of both pieces,  before and after.
After pictures,

Before pic's... Sorry I forgot to take picture of the chair. It was light maple color.

See you soon and have a blessed day,
Eve

Recycle , Renew .... One piece at a Time

Hi,
This is my first blog post for Wood and Paint Go Together.  My main purpose is Recycle, Renew ... One piece at a time. I'm pretty excited about this new blog.  Few years ago I started " Blogging" and I have other blogs I maintain that even open  but decide to create a new one for my love of wooden pieces, painting and makeovers.  I have been so inspired by other bloggers like me which love painting furniture,  or give new life to an old or abused piece.

I have learned so much in the "blog land", and  I just want to be one of the girls that help others to make new things, change furniture and give new looks to a piece without spend much money or finding the correct piece in a Thrift store, with a friend, at the dump or maybe one that you already have and change it  without breaking your budget.

So here I am, in a new adventure, hoping that in a future, someone can gain a little " knowledge or ideas" from me as much I have gained through the generosity of so many girls during the past years.  Thank you for visit my new blog. I will be sharing the furniture tutorials that I made in my other blog  soon, so you can enjoy them too, like other girls  enjoyed them in the past.

See you soon and have a blessed day,
Eve
